Well what can I say? I've bin bitten by the 3D bug once again. I got a chance to do a bit of research on Maya, Softimage, Caligari, Strata and a host of other programs. As it turns out I didn't have to dish out big $$ since Animation Master came out on top.

BTI ANIMATION



This animation acted as an attractor screen to a kiosk jointly developed by sponsors.

The animation and modeling, video editing, and compositing were completely produced in approximately three intense weeks after the client approved the storyboards.

A better part of time in production was rendering the 3D scenes of the Formula One racecar, the track, and the signage.

I actually modeled a real world racetrack and had a camera positioned at key spots on the track to capture the racecar zooming by.

AAB ANIMATION

An animation intro, using Adobe After Effects as the compositing program. The storyboards were expertly provided by Twinstar and reviewed with me at their offices.

This project, as simple as it may appear was quite challenging. First, there was the issue of the globe that had to be see-thru AND also had to contain a map while simultaneously spinning slowly. Second, the animated ribbon that would start the sequence with AAB riding on it drove me insane until I figured out a way of creating it while still maintaining its fluid appearance.
