CAFECOMICS.BIZ



A project that utilized opens source forum software and skinning it with custom hand drawn images and icons. The project took me through several iterations of server and forum setup. Participation within private forums where users are invited to chat and thread amongst themselves. With appointed moderators, the site almost runs on its own.

A very fun and interesting part of the site uses an avatar based chat programmed in Flash. My role involved programming custom scripts and extending the foundation script. I also set up the socket server and stressed tested the application.

I also programmed a simple tell-a-friend script that would allow existing users to invite those they felt might want to join the forum.
